A Night of Mischief and Bruised Egos

I figured since Feb 29 comes only once every four years, the night was ripe for doing something really reckless, ridiculous and crazy.

So I gathered up the old gang at Metrowalk ('twas our 5th monthly get together) and came up with an activity that would unleash our inner psychos and, well, knock that old ego down a bit. We all tend to worry about looking good all the time that I felt it was the perfect time to rustle up everybody's composure even for a night!

We met up at Dencio's for dinner, paired up randomnly and went off to do the following dares together:

---With a hand raised high up in the air, shout "DARNA!!!" in the middle of the Metrowalk Quadrangle. (Me, Karen and Earl)
---Walk up to at least 5 strangers of the opposite sex, say "Don't" in your saddest, most forlorn face, and just walk away. (Tricia G!)
---Guy pair will each sing harana to 2 beautiful girls. (Zeph and Terry)
---Converse with someone in a lively and excited manner by pretending he/she knows the stranger completely and insist familiarity for 5 mins. (Mark and Bea)
---Pick up a stranger by convincing that person to give his or her number...using a British accent! (Pinky and Richie)
---Kiss a stranger (Nobody got this! Darn! haha)
---Have someone sign his/her name on your chest (Disen!!!)
---Look for a couple around the area, ask what "their song" is and serenade them (Cris and Mic)
---And last but definitely not the least, performed by none other than Wesley Pristin, Tracey Santiago and Tracey's bag, fight in front of a crowd to the point of causing one hell of a scene! "Tarantado kang bakla ka!!!" Stellar performance guys! I wish I caught it on video! :)

It was such a blast because everybody went along with the dares even though they bordered on the ridiculous! And was it just me or was Metrowalk even more crowded than usual that night?? Haha it took me around an hour to convince them to just do it (there were colorful words thrown at me every now and then) but everybody stepped up!

I just don't think a lot of us will be visiting Metrowalk anytime soon. hahaha :)

Separation anxiety attack over

Yesterday was a winner.

I finally got to watch Chuck and Larry! It was funny (Big Daddy still tops my list of Sandler's flicks though!) but what was funnier was watching Zeph struggle with his bladder. Haha peace Zeph!

We went to a get together at Coach Lon's place in Manansala after (I loved his pad! May I have it please?) where the people present totally got on my case about being late when I was the one who told them the party started at 8pm. Hehehe sorry guys. Please don't go 3Rs on me. (Good god enough with the seminar jargon tricia!)

I'm really really glad a lot of people made it yesterday. It has been less than a week and we already had a reunion! Haha Joms was right--this is a classic case of separation anxiety attack. It's like missing your leg after being decapitated. Okay, too morbid. But really, I miss you guys. :)

It was a really fun evening that ended up with me being too talkative thanks to alcohol. But in fairness, I still remember everything that happened last night. Well, at least, I know I didn't do anything embarrassing. Whew. I have to admit I was already buzzed because my mom kept on texting me asking what time I was going home etc etc etc and I just laughed it off. Yikes. She's giving me a mini lecture as we speak. Hehe awww I love my mom! This is one of the few times she's gotten on my case about being irresponsible in years! I've been living away from home for six years already so I'm letting her make the most out of this experience. Wehehe. I'm just struggling not to smile because that would really send her blood pressure off the charts!

It's a season of reunions this October (later having dinner with my brunas, next week badminton with my leapmates, tomorrow gym with fabuloush Igor, and next week welcome home dinner for Sing) and a season of downloads. I'm downloading the latest episodes of my favorite shows. Good luck to my Dell's hard drive!!! :D

----

Can I just say that I just love the space where I am in right now? I've never felt so AWAKE. :) And I love how I just enjoy really great moments without having to analyze and be all mental about everything! It feels so liberating. :)

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end :)

Today is the morning after my amazing LEAP journey ended. And I still can't believe it. Everything just happened so fast that I barely had time to breathe and REALLY TAKE IT ALL IN. That is, until last weekend during our third (and huhu last) intensive where all we did was ACKNOWLEDGE every experience, every single individual that made up such a powerful team, every emotion we felt...just acknowledged every single thing that led up to where we are now.

If I kept saying the last 70 days were overwhelming, then I don't really know anymore how else I can describe all the feelings I felt the last week. Because it was BEYOND that. IT WAS JUST FUCKING INCREDIBLE!!! I can honestly say that the last two months were the best in my life. I never really expected I could change this much--so drastically! But I have. I feel it in every fiber of my being. I've never been more positive, never been more loving, more powerful, more passionate, and more OPEN.

Speaking of being open, I'm through hiding this blog from everyone--especially from my Leapmates. I've kept this a secret from you because I needed a venue to rant about everything that was bothering me about the whole journey but now, I want to share every single entry with you so you'll know where I was really coming from the past few months--shit you'll finally see the countless victim stories I've written! Hehehe I was planning on deleting some of them because lumabas na naman kadramahan ko but what the heck, I don't care about looking good anymore! So enjoy laughing at me! :P

I love every single one of you guys--so much I can't even explain it--and I have never in my life felt so BLESSED to be surrounded by a very loving and powerful group of individuals. I'll miss you all to the highest level! Hehehe I can't wait to see you after thirty days!!!

Thank you for the love notes, the laughter, the cry fests, and for just letting me experience YOU the past few months :)

I will never forget our LEAP night as well! That was really the time, the moment, wherein I just threw away all my inhibitions and broke out of my shell--haha tugma talaga na Oscars theme natin kasi I was channeling Catherine Zeta-Jones yeah! And, hell if we weren't all shining that night!!! :D

Ecstatic

Today kicked yesterday's ass big time!

I was up as early as five in the morning because I was just so excited about how the day will turn out. See, today's a crucial day for this leadership program I'm taking because it's the last day for us to get new people to come in and enroll. My teammates committed to enrolling around 130 people today and we totally exceeded that goal--we were able to bring in 150!!!

It was just so amazing! It was already ten in the morning and we were still 15 people short. We just started calling people we knew, people we haven't even talked to in a looong time--some weeks, months, and even years!--and right before 11:30am, we were up to 150! And that's on top of the fact that we needed these people to pay P5,500 each for them to join the workshop.

AMAZING. Just friggin amazing. Unbelievable how much one group of really committed people can do to generate that effect on other individuals. Just amazing. I got goosebumps once we reached our target and we were just laughing like crazy, hugging each other like hell after we started seeing more and more "warm bodies" come in. It was CRAZY! Today's attendance exceeded even the one during MY time! And my gay teammates were even exclaiming, "In fairness Trish, mas maraming cute ngayon!"

LOL

Eyelovit. :)

And even though I didn't get my sister to join the workshop, I reached my own enrollment goal. Nothing short of amazing, really. Support was definitely there when I needed it. I swear I feel like I'm in AA. That building is definitely my safe place here in Manila. I tend to do crazy things the moment I step out of the elevator and into the fifth floor seminar hall. I can just be my crazy psychotic self. Because there are people there crazier than I am. Swear, it's just so overwhelming!

And, haha, people told me pa I lost weight! Yeah baby! I now know how Donkey felt when he and Shrek woke up after drinking that Happily Ever After potion!

Donkey: Shrek and I drank this potion and now... we're sexy! :D

Soon...I will be channeling Catherine Zeta-Jones. Haha.

And my friend TJ lent me this book of compiled Philippine short stories and I'm enjoying the read so far. Panalo. I can't wait to get started writing my own. And with my enrollment goal out of the way, I'll be more focused on the other goals I've set because it has definitely lifted a lot of the pressure. Tomorrow's our first workshop and I'm curious as to what they'll make us do this time. Because they really make us do things that we'd never imagined we'd be doing. Yey!

I am a lunatic. :)
