Tuesday 5 February 2008 Well I didn't want to be idle and I got my wish.Days away from going on my Dumaguete birthday weekend (I'm visiting Igor), I'm bombarded by deadlines. Work's starting to become hectic because we're days away from the launch--I have tons of email templates to write (a no-brainer but they piled up because I was too lazy to do them weeks ago), finalize and update the mechanics of the contest, etc etc etc. And I need to finish all this by tomorrow. Then I check my email today and find myself a new deadline--my sideline assigned my first article on Business Offshore Development (which I know nothing about, by the way) due on Saturday. This basically means that I NEED to finish this by Friday morning latest because my flight to Dumaguete leaves on Friday afternoon. Kill me now. Haha. I love it though. It's weird but I miss stress. The atmosphere in the office is too relaxed, in my opinion, so I'm glad I took Writeshop's offer to do some freelance writing. And it'll be about topics that are new to me so that's a plus. I'm not the greatest fan of business writing but if it's a test of how flexible I can be as a writer, then I'm happy to do it. This year, I really want to hone my craft. So about the article, I know I'll do a good job. I'm just psyching myself up--rather, pressuring myself enough to get me to start working. So...off to work! Ciao folks!
